First off, I setup this H2C with 2 AMS Pro’s and one AMS HT on 7/4/26 and have about 40 hours on it, and I think this printer is AWESOME!!!
But here is the small issue that I found, but I found a work around to remedy it. I can sync the device and filament and it is correct (previously assigned filaments under the device tab.) It doesn’t matter if before or after a 3MF file is loaded as an object, but after I assign two different filaments, one from the left hot end and one from the right, the slicer then shows only one filament when sliced under any format, even Custom.
My remedy is to go back to the Prepare tab and remove all of the filament, then do another device sync. Now I assign the two different filaments again and they show up just fine in the slicer results.
Maybe it’s my sequence, or maybe a bug in slicer. Glad to hear input on this. Other then this little issue which I believe is a slicer issue, this printer has been flawless in every way! I really enjoy this printer and I came from using an X1C for the last couple of years.
Yep. I do that always now. But like clock work, unless I follow the steps I said before after loading a model, the slicer will only show one filament. At least there is a work around for now.
I am fairly new to 3D printing. I am using the H2D with the AMS-HT (left) and the external spool (right). I assign one color to the right (Ext) and one color to the left (HT) and it slices OK and shows the left and right colors. When I go to print, only the left color is showing, there is nothing on the right. Anyone have any ideas?
I’ve noticed it as well. BL needs to get their shitz together!!! All these bs updates for studio and they are just jacking it all up. I always do a double check on filament selection before I print. Come on BL!
As you are still a new user, it takes some time/posts to be able to post pictures.
But what I understand, you don’t see something similar to me.
Which version are you running?
I have been using many versions from standard released versions to beta’s, but never had serious issues with external spools.
The only thing is that already for a reasonable time, I need to do this action as I explained above. In the beginning, the correct filament was selected, and the printer directly selected the external spool.
