I have generated a placard model inspired by a design I’ve seen on Maker World, but wanted to add some extra features. I am using a translucent/clear PLA filament for the placard itself and an opaque PLA for the number. While slicing, the opaque color runs outside of the object boundaries on the infill. This wouldn’t be a problem if the placard wasn’t translucent as the opaque object boundaries would conceal this. I’ve exported the model as an OBJ from onshape. I couldn’t tell if this is a model issue or a slicing issue, so I’ve reworked the model to boolean (subtract) the solid parts so there is no volume overlap to see if that might have been the issue, but alas the problem persists. I am new to multi-color printing 
For those who are interested in the use case, I’m designing an escape room for my wedding. I’m not sure if the secret text will be too obvious, so I will experiment.

What is the final desired outcome here? That the number is partially embedded in the translucent block?
Where does the extra purple infill come from? Is that part of the “1” object you exported?
Or maybe you have “Use Beam Interlocking” feature enabled in Others → Advanced ?
Can you share the project file here? Or an example which exhibits the same issue you want to solve. It’s much easier to test and discuss concrete solutions that way.

for the welcome, the congratulations, and for helping me find a solution! The solution I have come up with is Export/Import as a 3MF and NOT being loaded into Bambu Studio (clicking “No”) as a single object with multiple parts. For thoroughness, I am answering your questions below:

→I can only assume that it’s coming from the “1” object.

→I toggled this to see what kind of effect it might have. I was off, and I toggled it on and here was the result.

→This was the trick! I couldn’t upload an OBJ file, so I had to export as a 3MF.
