does it sound different when printing small vs large objects? any extra clicking? maybe something in the extruder isnt setup as well as it should be.
no it sounds the same to me.
it is close to flat but not perfectly flat - the middle is lower all the way around.
Have you turned off your printer, turned it back on and performed the latest firmware update ?
I am doing the firmware update now. my bed from front to back is very flat no light gets thru - from side to side though, there is a gap in the middle - not a huge one but maybe enough to be screwing up my prints? I dont know - to be honest, I have 10 other printers - all Prusas and I dont have this issue with them - though I cannot print this file on the prusa as the prusa bed is too small at 210x250 - the bambu with 250x250 is just big enough.
I do believe that the latest firmware update resolves the Z offset, lidar issues and flow rate issues that affect quite a few X1C printers
Although I didnāt experience those issues I did the update last night and it works fine, I have read posts in here that state the new firmware has resolved a handful of issues though
I also started using the Soft Fever fork this weekend so my flow compensation is turned off as I did my own flow rate and pressure advance for each filament Iām using
well I am trying a new print now - one way to find out right?
can see in the images that back to front is great, my left to right does have a gap - enough to cause issues? not sure.
I think the build plates take up some of the slop once they are stuck down to the bed
You should be ok after the update but keep us posted
it started to have the same issues sighā¦ I upped the filament temp another 5 degrees and slowed from standard speed to silent speed - and set it for another print.
hoping higher heat and slower speed may be all I need.
I replaced the hotend and it is now apparently working fine. Not very good that after 3 prints I had to replace the hotend - I am not running any exotic filament only PLA and PETG
it is a 14 hour print with 11 hours remaining - I will update here if it completes with no issues.
You probable donāt need to replace the hotend, just unclog it. I had a similar problem after the first prints. For details see my answer to this post:
I already have replaced it the first 14 hour print completed with no issues, and the second one has now started.
have now done 3 14 hour prints back to back and its now on a 37 hour print that will be done in about 13 hours.
Glad you were able to isolate the issue.
yep a nozzle that apparently went bad after a couple of small prints. hope the second one lasts longer - at least until I can get some more from Bambu.
Did you replace the full assembly or just the nozzle?
Send a message to support (if you havenāt already). Theyāll probably send you a new one for free.
just the nozzle and I did send a ticket in - they said they would not replace it and that I should clean it vs replacing it. I tried to clear it and had no luck.
Just the nozzle on an original bambulab hotend ?
yep that was the only issue and then I was able to print fine - have probably done about 75 hours of printing with zero issues.
One has to ask if $10 and 1/2 an hour is worth the hassle of getting a replacement from Tech. Like the motherboard fan, $15 and I had it same day where as BL Store was out of stock with no expected in stock date. Iām OK with eating the small stuff.
