Small protrusions on print

Hello People,

Very new to 3D printing

Seeing these weird protrusions on two latest prints. Have attached images for reference. Rest I am happy with the prints and looking for any solution to correct these small defects. Thanks for your time. Print details are as below:

Printer: A1
Filament: PLA Silk (Inland PLA purchased from microcenter)
Prints : 1 Bed scraper & 1 Paint Brush Pot
Print Settings: Default
(Downloaded both the models from makerworld and straight printed without modifications)
Scraper : Bambu Lab Bed Scraper by Libang - MakerWorld
Pot : Miniatures Paint Brush Cleaning Pot by TachyPrints - MakerWorld
Have been cleaning the plate with dishwasher soap before every print and wiping it with microfibre cloth to dry.

Humidity: 45 to 50 (Varies during the day)
Ambient Temperature: 73 F to 75 F

Thanks for the reply.

I have suspected the cause : filament wetness , awaiting delivery of vacuum bags for storage in a day.

So currently have just kept it on the external spool (about 10 days now) and have not dried it , planning to dry it with a DIY solution where spool is kept on heated plate of the printer at ~60 C for couple of hours covered with an inverted filament shipment box and few pinholes on top for convection.

Sorry if it seems like a scrappy solution but just confused as I am not aware of the best practice for drying PLA. Some say PLAs are resistant in open but for how long is not clear. Also some say that drying may be required only for RH of 70. So wanted to try the scrappy solution, if it works then I can invest in a proper drying kit (Sunlu etc).

Any feedback would be appreciated, I may be completely off the right way.

The setting I have selected and used in the printer is 190 to 240 C. Also just checked the filament manufacturer’s recommendation is 190 to 230 C.

Hi All,

Problem is solved , got a filament dryer, dried the filament for 6 hrs in Sovol dryer at 45 C and printed again. No more protrusions in the print.

Would you mind sharing what color is this, I have inland silk blue and it doesn’t look anywhere near as glossy as yours.

Thank you, mine just says silk blue so I think it’s a different color.
