Suddently I have issues when slicing my files in bambu studio. I haven’t changed anything and I tried deactivating smart scarf seam application which made it better for some parts but others are still buggy and have empty lines within the model as you can see on the screenshots. Anybody has the same issue and knows what’s wrong?
Thanks for posting the sliced screen grabs but the slicer itself only displays a “forecasted” layer lines image. The real question is: how did these appear after they printed.
The reason for this question is that what I see here is inner and outer walls “peaking” through the layers. However, I would question whether or not that would have an impact in the real world.
Hi, I did not try to print as it would waste filament. But never the less I never had that issue before and those are all solid bodys so there shouldn’t be some behavior like “peaking” through…
I suspected as much. This kind of concern comes up here all the time—I like to call it "printophobia." It’s when someone hesitates to print because they’re worried the screen preview won’t match their expectations. The truth is, there’s no substitute for empirical evidence. You won’t know for sure until you try.
Up until about half a year ago I had frequent Studio bugs when using high memory models. It would cause missing layers. Closing and reopening Studio resolved the issue at the time (as long as I did not leave any further instances open ).
I have not had that for a while.
If in doubt, check the layer height of the missing layers also using the slider in the sliced preview.
Well in my case this is a very long and intense experience with 3D printing which teached me, if it looks like s.hit in the slicer, it will be s.hit in real life. And I never got disappointed by that experience so don’t blame me not trying this one…
@EnoTheThracian I don’t think these are high memory models but you are right, I created a new file with less plates and added things fresh and the bug was gone…
