Would you rather have 2 smooth surfaces to prep & glue together or have male/female support inserts that potentially cause issues with texture/quality of the print surface left behind by supports that may or may not be needed?
Given the quality of surface I typically see when I can avoid supports combined with the quality of blues like 3D Gloop or Mitre Apel CA 50 I’m leaning towards no inserts if I can get away with it…
I’m thinking I might modify the file to place a hole on each piece and print a cylinder that can be slid in place and glued. At least until I get better at settings and supports … So far I just haven’t been able to get the supports to NOT be a hinderance. I chose the joining end as it meant no supports on the visible end.
