Snags on spools more common?

I am noticing this more often with the recent batch of filament refills. I never had this issue before now and wondering if others are experiencing the same, perhaps for those who have purchased filament refills within the past month?

This is black PLA basic refill. It is constantly getting snagged, causing stress on the AMS, therefore causing the print to stop many times.

Not really sure if there’s anything that can be done about this other than deal with it unless it’s a broader issue.

Its a broader issue in manufacturing most of the time.

I noticed some changes too. Actually, I have a yellow refill atm that is giving tons of troubles despite AMS savers.
But then, I do not remember if I did the massage properly and the AMS slot may also be suffering from wear after 4,500h…
