What’s more entertaining: that Bambu just now figured out Amazon exists, or that 230 people somehow left reviews months before the store even opened - and paid extra for the privilege? I’ve been watching for signs of a storefront for months and today is the first real signs of life.
Store’s up, but no filament listed. Not that they’d want to go head-to-head on price anyway and service anyway as I accept my $10 1KG spools of Overture PLA today.
Here’s the real show: Amazon customers don’t play the same game. The “poor support” excuses people report here? Irrelevant. With Amazon, it’s one click and the problem is Bambu’s. Hear that beeping? That’s the Amazon truck backing into Bambu’s dock, loaded with no-questions-asked returns from customers who don’t give a damn about ticket systems or excuses.
Is this a residence or a WITSEC safe-house? Eitherway, does this look like a commercial enterprise address? No! So I must assume that either this address is just a drop box concealing the true owner of the Amazon store or the Amazon store is not actually operated by Bambu labs who lists their US operations in Austin. Very sketchy no matter how you size it up.
I would presume that should Bambu decide to launch it’s own store on Amazon, it would be on all Amazon platforms, globally… It appears that there isn’t any Bambu store on any of the Amazon platforms in Europe (.de, .nl, be, fr, .it, .es, .pl, .uk, etc). In my experience, since its launch Bambu has consistently and constantly avoided to sell through Amazon, to have and maintain full control over its distribution chain and prices. I’d be wary of any claims on Bambu having a presence on Amazon that hasn’t been formally validated by Bambu itself…which at this point in time hasn’t happened.
Excellent point and at this stage this is where we invite @bambulab to weigh-in on this thread and confirm or deny whether this store front is in fact a Bambu Official store or someone unauthorized.
Friday is a favorite day for fake shops popping up. It gives them a few extra days…
Suspicious activity can be reported to Amazon by mail using reportascam@amazon.com. Just make sure you highlight that this looks quite suspicious rather than more severe accusations.
But, if you are really lucky you can purchase the A series AMS lite (no printer) for just £863.
Just $1,166.97 USD.
I know Bambu Lab already massively over charge for the ANS lite, charging more than the actually printer for it, but damn, that is some real profiteering from the Amazon seller.
Edit: and at least on the US version of Amazon there was a “Bambu Store” listed on Amazon at that time. Which could have just been from Amazon saying “oh look, there is a lot of stuff listed for somebody called Bambu, let’s make a store front entry!”
The Bambu Store appears legitimate but it is slim pickings as far as what is available. Printers are about it.
Significantly more expensive than buying from Bambu Labs store ( non-Amazon)
Refill of PLA Basic at BL store is around $19. Amazon BL store the same filament is $31
When I created that topic/ post I was hoping that they would load up on what could be purchased off of Amazon.
That hope appears to have been in vain.
The BL store shipping is slow and I was hoping Amazon store would improve on delivery time but based on the cost of filament negates any speed of delivery gain.
The other thing is BL, AFAIK, has only one approved part maker. That is E3D and they make replacement nozzles.
Because of that it is “Buyer Beware” when buying parts purported to be drop-in replacements.
As you said, it looks legitimate, but is it indeed so? Personally, I find it very strange that Bambu hasn’t pointed out they are also selling via Amazon.
The offer is flimsy at best (limited to only the A1 series) and showing a price range that is much higher than for similar items on its own store.
Somehow, I still have doubts as to the legitimacy of that store, considering Bambu’s consistent and continuous position on such approach, and these doubts are reinforced by the lack of any communication from Bambu on this and the absence of the store on the other Amazon platforms…at least in the EU.
Legitamate… well if your definition is items supplied directly from Bambu to Amazon, never having gone through a 3rd party then I think it fails that test.
But if your definition is items (printers, accessories,spools, parts, blah, blah) that are from Bambu Labs but are being sold by a 3rd party and may include left over stock, used parts (possibly because they were replaced because something wasn’t working right), things that people couldn’t return to BL, etc. then I am sure it is spot on.
Edit: I do think that the actuall page, which only has a few printers (US) probably is associated with BL, but as far as I can tell ALL of the parts and things that list as being from the BL store and feature the seller of the week, well, you can’t get to those items from the Bambu store.
Edit 2: and I will admit looking closer, a lot of these items don’t actually list as being associated with the BL store. It’s just that if you do a search in amazon for bambu labs store, they show up in the search results.
Your point is valid. Im mostly basing my view on that I don’t think Amazon is that asleep at the wheel as to allow counterfeit/fraudulent stores on the platform.
I’m pretty sure Bambu Lab protested to Amazon and forced BTT/BIQU to put the firmware disclaimer regarding the Panda Touch up where it can’t be missed on the product page.
Moot in any case because I’m not paying $31 dollars on Amazon for a spool of PLA Basic I can buy online direct from BL for $20 dollars.

Here’s a further dive on a site I’ve never heard of but describes that the Bambu Lab logo was registered by a law firm in Nevada. No shock there, Nevada has taken over the state of Delaware for corporate registrations for the purposes of concealing company ownership.
