SOLVED - Updated to Studio 2.01.00.59 - camera no longer works

EDIT: please disregard…while it took like 10 minutes or so, its now working (without chaning anything, just started - sorry)

So I just updated the studio software (P1S), installed it, filled my plate with prints and hit start - now, on PC, the camera wont activate and is stuck on “initializing” while from my mobile it works fine still (with the old version).

Is there an easy way to fix this or if not, how do I downgrade back to prior version, pleae?

Thank you.

I did have this bug but when resuming PC from idle. I just hit stop then start again and everything is fine

I had the same issue but it went away with relaunching the program

Thank you, yes. I keep having this issue where PC wont get camera started but restarting APP seems to (mostly?) fix this. Still something that I never had before with the old version.

Also having the same problem with the latest Bambu Studio update (2.1.0.59), and my P1S.The camera gets stuck at “initializing”. However it works right away on the Handy app on my phone.

My P1P camera would seem to work when it wanted to for months then it stopped completely. I scan the forums but it hasn’t become enough of an issue to track it down.

My camera is not working after upgrading to 2.1.1.52. Worked fine before the upgrade. Camera works on the Bambu Handy app (iPhone).

When you say not working, do you mean (like in my case) that the app on PC gets stuck in “initializing”, never actually switching to live feet? If so, for me it always fixes itself by restarting the desktop app shortly after printing started. Still happens but not often anymore.

Yes, as you said, the PC gets stuck on ‘initializing’ and never goes to the live feed. I had shut the computer down last night, just turned on the computer and started Bambu Studio. Nothing is printing now, but the camera feed is working. Will try it again later today when printing and see what happens. Thanks for the follow-up to my post!

I have this problem with Studio 2.1.1.52.

After starting a print, I click the Play button, but it just says Initializing and does not display anything.

It works fine on the iOS app - and on several occasions, if I relaunch the iOS app, and click Play there it actually unsticks the Initializing. But now it seems to have stopped doing that.

Relaunching the app got it to work, though I presume this is temporary.

I have the same problem, and finally i got pissed off enough, to the point it made me come here…

So, this problem with camera feeds not working ONLY STARTED, after Bambu made that stupid change to their policies that made EVERYONE to be pissed off in version 2 of their software (if i’m not wrong on the version here…)

On all previous versions of the software (1.xxxxxx) NEVER EVER had a single problem with the camera feeds.

I did not care about it untill now, because while annoying, i could solve it by shutting down the printer itself, and when restarting the feed would work again.

By now, it’s WAY WORSE !!!

So, i’m on Bambu Studio Version 2.1.1.52, and now for more than 1 week the camera problem got worse than before…
Before by restarting the printer, it would work again.

Now, THE CAMERA ONLY WORKS WHEN THE PRINTER IS STOPPED !!!.
Imagine this, i’m watching feed from the camera now.
I send a print to the printer, and the feed just not works anymore, no matter what i do, shutdown or whatever DOES NOT SOLVE IT ANYMORE !!!

Please bambu engineers, correct the bugs you created with the v2 of your software… If this problem persists, you will start loosing costumers…

this is entirely your fault (as i just described it was 110% fine in v1 of your software), so just solve the mess you created…

For me this is unchanged. Sometimes camera on the PC app isnt initializing but every single time, when I exit the app (printer already running) and re-open, camera will work. I never once stopped the printer for this. (still annoying of course)

same, but I don’t want to have to do that and lose what I was doing in the model I was working on. should not have to keep relaunching the app, there’s obviously a bug with it.
