when trying to print a gridfinity lid there is a gap at the corners
where the edge lifts from the plate and spaghetti arrives.
the edge sticks to the plate normally for the line of the edge.
i'm using a new P2S with default settings for BL PETG Basic Reflex Blue.
i have printed a known good print without trouble.
my diagnosis is a plate adhesion problem at these corners.
so, support the corners.
but what is the best way to allow this print to complete?

Well, the corners are only the first issue, a good “early warning” indicator in this case…
An unsupported bridge on a corner is unlikely to ever work. And the model is hollow underneath and there’s a huge bridged area which will print over thin air. And supports are disabled.
Even with supports, the whole thing is resting on those thin edges… there’s no adhesion to speak of, plus by the time the print is finished those will be flattened out and probably require considerable cleanup, at best.
I would probably flip that over to print it. You’ll still most likely want/need supports for the center voids, but at least the perimeter is solid and there are more bed contact points. Maybe add a brim and/or mouse ears since the edges are still pretty narrow.
However another issue is that the outer-most edges get too thin at the top and will not print properly with the 0.4mm nozzle. Consider making that edge less tapered, if possible, or perhaps slicing a layer or two (0.2 - 0.4mm) off the top to flatten it all out (assuming that still works for the bin grooves).
