Stealing images off comments

I have seen people steal images off comments in peoples post… I did report it multiple times. the report has been declined over 5 times. I am 100% sure images have been stolen and I dont understand why the reports fail every time. I dont understand at all…?

Same for me, I even send picture of it, with complete information.

yeah me too complete info and pictures

another picture here showing it posted

Attaching pictures when reporting may be successful.

I did also … thank you

Oh okay, well there was more then just one model on his account that has pictures of others taken off comments so I dont know whats the whole story about that but I am wondering if this is aloud … wich I dont think so. Its literally taken off comments

Are we talking about someone publishing a model then someone eles printing it and leaving a comment with a image then the original uploader using the image from the comment?

If so i don’t see the issue as the whole point in a picture is to show it prints ok so using somes thats printed the models picture seems fine to me as long as you have asked the uploader or the image. I have done this myself when makerworld changed the rules so you had to add a image, if i didnt have a image of the model printed or didn’t intend to print the model again i would ask people who had left pictures if i could use theirs.

It’s about a print profile, at the beginning of MW, they spammed a lot of untested profile to farm point (real picture was not mandatory), and use comment section picture to “prove” that their print profile was tested when print profile picture became mandatory.
This is unethical to do, because it led to a lot of people just testing an untested print profile, and their picture was stolen without permission to serve the interest of print profile spammer.

the model and print profile needs to match the picture… if I make a gcode and ask to take your picture… it doesnt proof its printability at all as they are not same gcodes and same files. It would be too easy for anyone to just use anyone elses picture and then just upload the gcode for every model posted on makerworld

well meaby they should comply such as all the others have to with their print profiles to follow rules as everyone should be the same way

Could it be that the posters print profile proves it was printed by them and the image used is more out of convienience or lack of know how ? for me to post an image i need to take a pic,(phone) share it to my email account, open the mail and copy it to my desktop before uploading to here , its just a thought …
