i am trying to print a step file, created in Fusion. i have have done this in the past with no issues. i updated to 2.3.1.51 now it works selectively
now when i choose my colors in bambu studio it will show exactly what i want to come out, but when i slice it, it will randomly not print the color as shown in the preview, this is maddening because it shows up properly in the preview.
it’s mostly text that does this.
i am printing flat objects, on their face, like coasters and book marks.
it worked in the past with no issue. and i don’t know how to revert to a lower copy of bambu studio. sorry luddite
So, the only thing we really know is that the print is not what you expected. There are too many things we do NOT know about your project to provide any help. Provide a .3mf project file that is not working and maybe we can suggest some changes.

sorry i am not a computer guy. it used to work just fine this way in the past. like two days ago with a very similar file the only difference was the content
Thats fine. I will look at the 3mf first. You would need to use a file sharing service for the step.

Try this. It is easier to make the text a modifier with a different filament color than having them as multiple parts. You can import the same, just right click on the component > change type > Modifier.

I’m not offended at all, and thank you, i suffer from pretty bad dyslexia i require spell check with everything and often have to have things read to me, i actually appreciate that you corrected it and yes, this is a military thing

i am still very new to this, i bought a printer to make things, for my other hobbies, not to make 3d printing a hobby, i guess i need to dig deeper into the hobby thank you for your time
I agree, but that is not really how this world works. I got into 3d printing because of my hobby in CNC, but it has turned into 80 percent 3D printing and 20 percent CNC at this point.
Wiki is a great resource. Has almost everything you need (for the basics at least).
