I’m to the form but not new to bambu printers. I’ve had no issues printing with PET-CF on my p1s and my h2s.
Just 2 days ago these very strange lines have started appearing on my prints and they are very “uniform” like pattern like. Sometimes Closer together or sometimes more spread apart like the picture I am gonna post in the replies.
This is only happening with PET-CF on my H2S using settings from Polymakers website and a custom profile I had.
I have relubed everything on the printer, re-adjusted the belt tensioners aswell.
I have also tried playing with the temps.
The filament is dry, it has been drying for over 24 hours at 85c.
These lines are only visible from a top angle. The troubleshooting has been very frustrating and any help would be much appreciated.
You can adjust the flow rate, line width and top surface pattern to solve that. Also personally I prefer to use the standard Bambu or Generic profiles instead of Polymakers.
I am also having this issue on the Bambu preset aswell.
Also the piece is printed standing up so the right side of the piece in the picture is the bottom. This is done for strength.
It just baffles me that it happened out of nowhere.
Since the latest version of Studio has been giving me some odd issues where certain profile settings reset themselves, I would recommend double-checking your configuration.
I first noticed it with my TPU profile but assumed I had made a mistake. However, after a 14-hour ASA Aero print failed due to unexpectedly high print speeds, I looked into it more closely. Several of my finely tuned profiles had been altered in the same way.
It’s happening to you too?! I couldn’t find anyone else talking about it. All of my tuned print profiles and filament profiles have either been changed slightly or completely disappeared after the latest studio update. I had to pretty much start from scratch all over again.
Took my nozzle off and found it had a slight bend in the neck, that paired with the very high temp might’ve been what was causing it. It has also damaged my nozzle wiper with the bend too. I just swapped everything and now running a calibration.
Check the base profiles — the ones your custom profiles inherit from. You’ll likely find several inconsistent values there, and that’s what causes the issue.
What frustrates me most is that support insists they can’t reproduce the problem, even though I provided a clear step-by-step guide.
Hello guys, after recent inspection of my PLA prints. The lines are also there aswell just very tough to spot because of the finish on PLA. I have been playing around with the gantry and noticed a clicking sound when the head gets up to speed.
I don’t even make custom filament profiles the way we’re meant to. I just change the values and the name of the generic profiles and save it. Probably still the same reason though.
It’s pretty clear from the base profiles that they’re preparing for more than two nozzles, because the H2D already supports multiple. They managed to create another inconsistency in the process. The same thing happened when they updated the X1C interface — a printer with only one nozzle — and flagged that single nozzle as the “left” nozzle that wasn’t allowed to load TPU. That made TPU printing impossible until they patched it.
If a development team at my workplace released software with this level of oversight — no QA, no verification, nothing — I’d replace them immediately.
