Hi there, I have a question regardin my P1S.
When I do the bed leveling on the right side and in the center make a clean toc toc noise when hotend touches the bed, on the left side make trr trr trr a completely different noise. The Bed leveling is ok and the print are ok, tried also twith the 15min initial setup and is the same.
What can be ?
Hi, can you upload a video please? Without the video I can help you slightly:
-Is the printer lubricated? This can cause squeaky noises in some areas.
-Are the printer XYZ axis clean? This can also cause some weird grinding/squeaking noises.
Hi, I will do the video ASAP in the meantime I can tell you that the printer is well lubricated, and clean. Is not a squeaky noise is more a compression one. and is only on the left part of the plate not on right or center

Definitely not normal. My P1S does not make it and i’ve never seen someone elses do it
Is there anything stuck or raised on the bed or under the build plate?
Have you added anything inside the printer around Z or the bed in particular?
When did it start, what was happening when it started?
Is the plate damaged or bent from dropping accidentally?
Also I’d consider either cleaning that plate well or getting a new one.

-Nothing was added
-The Printer is in the basement and I launch the print job from my office, always 100% o success, discover the noise was only a case
-No the printer was always well kept and never have any incident

It sounds mechanical and like rubbing. Can you see any place on that side that rubs. Since the printer doesn’t throw an error it may be on the Z or the Z guides. Take a hard look at the bed and be 200% certain that it’s not in need of tramming.
This is the X1 but the bed is the same on both. If there are any differences I’m sure someone will correct me. It isn’t a normal noise but sounds a heck of a lot like rubbing on that side.
It sounds to me as if the bed is loose on the left and is being slammed into something when the nozzle probes the bed height.
I would first make sure all six bed mounting screws are tight:
Other possibilities might be loose bearings on the left z-screw, or a loose (broken?) bed mount. Look for differences from the right side.
I’m not ruling out tramming as a fix, but I think the bed would have to be extremely out of level for that alone to cause such a loud noise. Whatever the problem and fix turns out to be, I think a manual tramming should be performed before printing again.

Gotcha…. The left screw was not tight. I tight it and the strange noise is gone. Now is exactly like the right side

Just to be clear, there are TWO screws at each of the three mounting points. For some reason, one may be covered by a black sticker, which can be discarded.
I apologize for not thinking of these screws. I’ll be the first to admit I don’t know everything. Others say I know nothing, who knows.
Anyway, glad Ikraus had the solution.
