Printing in PLA, I’ve got 4 P1s printers, one of them has started printing like this. The print on the left was done first, then the second after belt tightening and cleaning/greasing the z axis leadscrews. Any ideas?
They are both bad and none of the other printers looks like either, right?
I’d love to know what is going on, it looks like the one on the right is just the one on the left at a different frequency.
yes, both bad-they should be smooth. The same file on the other printers prints fine
Any chance your hotend isn’t screwed down tightly? It’s not a uncommon error for people to think the screws are tight but they aren’t. Hold the carriage still and grab the tip and try to move it along whichever axis the screws (sorry don’t remember which) hold it to see if it wiggles.
What have you ruled out?
Is there an AMS involved?
Have you checked the PTFE tubing?
Does this happen on all printers?

Only this printer behaves like this, the others print as expected.
I’ve changed all the ptfe tubes.
I took the ams off and ran it from the spool instead
I also changed the nozzle assembly and checked the extruder-it’s pristine…still having the problem.

Any chance one of your z-axis bearings has popped out?
not that, but I have cured the issue-your first suggestion was close-there was a small bit of filament stuck to the housing behind the hotend-I guess it melted as the hotend heated, but solidified again on cooling, so it didn’t move when cold…thanks for your help!
