So the best way to start this I guess is I am printing offline LAN only. And trying to view my printer as it is in another room. But just every few minutes I have to hit the play button to get it to start viewing again. My Internet is not the best y internet is not the best. God knows living out here 18 plum is not the best idea for having Internet. But I tried to go on to view my prints while I’m on the road at night. That just seems to screw with the password and I have a hard time getting back online to even send a print out to the printer. With all that rambling being said. I noticed today that in camera settings in the wiki it seems to have more settings than I have in my studio. I was looking for a way to extend the time of viewing and found this #1 is what I have in my studio #2 is what the wiki shows. My question is is there a way to extend the viewing time while in LAN mode. So I do not have to get up and hit the play button all the time. And is there a reason for the settings to be different in the wiki then they are in my studio thank you in advance.
The Go Live! streaming is an X1 series feature, not available on a P1.
Sorry but I am totally confused by your ask. Please help me understand.
Please allow me to restate what I think you are telling me. I’ll also try to answer the questions were relevant. Some of your statements are in conflict with each other:
- You are printing using offline LAN and want to monitor your printer, which is located in another room.
- You have to press play every few minutes to keep the viewing active.
-
- What kind of device are you pressing play on? Bambu Handy on your phone? Browser on a Laptop? Tablet? Phone? etc.
- Your internet connection isn’t great, and trying to monitor prints remotely has caused issues, such as password problems and difficulty sending prints to the printer.
-
- What does this have to do if you are in LAN-only mode? LAN-Only cuts you off from the Internet and all your traffic is local to your Local Area Network(LAN). This is the whole point of LAN-only mode.
- You noticed the camera settings in the wiki show more options than what’s available in your studio software.
-
- @lkrause addresses this above.
- You’re asking if there’s a way to extend the viewing time in LAN mode so you don’t have to press play so often.
-
- Viewing time is not constrained. If you’re seeing a disconnect, there is a problem with the connectivity between your printer and your viewing device. This is a known weakness in Bambu LAN-only mode and there is a post on this last week that goes into great details. When is this network logon/rebind PITA going to stop?
- You also want to understand why the settings in the wiki differ from what you see in your studio.

I sorry but m P1S does have this feature. Thanks you have just reinforced my belief in reading the wiki before getting on here and answering questions.
Since your post appears directed at me, I’ll respond as a courtesy. I previously asked several clarifying questions on your initial post, none of which received a clear response.
Given this and the overall tone, I don’t see value in continuing the exchange. Good luck.
If anyone else can assist here, please feel free to step in.
Are you trying to tell me that I do not have the ability to start viewing my Bambu P1S after it decided to stop?
Yes! I can start viewing again. I just don’t like it when it stops on it’s own. Then I have start it again.
I agree that we should have the option to leave the camera active all the time, especially in LAN mode when it uses only our own bandwidth.
But mine only shuts down five minutes after the print finishes. I have no need to see a motionless printer, and one click to restart for the next print is not a big deal.
Other options would be to use an older version of Studio, or OrcaSlicer, neither of which turn off the camera automatically.
I just discovered an option that was discussed on the forum several weeks ago. I usually use OrcaSlicer, which does not shut down the camera, so I’ve not tested this choice during a print.
In Studio, selecting this Preference is supposed to keep the camera live while printing. Still shuts down after five minutes of inactivity.
shut down the bambu studio program and restart it then the choice “keep live viewing” will be in effect.
