I’m new to 3D printing and I’m having a hard time with stringing and these little balls of filament that get stuck in some of the pieces in the PEI plate.
So far I’ve tried to configure retraction settings, as well as taking a lot of care with filament umidity, but nothing seems to work.
I also notice that the stringing and little balls appear mostly in that part of the plate shown in the picture. Any tips on how to solve this?
When you say taking a lot of care with filament humidity, what does that mean?
If it doesn’t include putting the filament in a heated dryer, it is not a lot of care. I say this because many people seem to think they can dry wet filament with desiccant.
The only thing I haven’t done is drying the filament in a drying box. Other than that, I put a lot of silica in the filament bag while storing, as well as the drypods inside the AMS. Do you think these is umidity related?
