Stringing with PET-CF

I get this stringing with my PET-CF prints, always in the same spot. I dry my filament before printing, I even added a no-support painting in that area to help minimize this stringing, but obviously that didn’t help.

Can anyone help indicate what is causing this stringing, and how to get rid of it?

Thank you

That isn’t stringing.

Stringing is fine whisps of the print material staying attached to the nozzle during rapid movements, which leaves fine fuzz on the part.

You have a serious issue with either oozing, retraction/pressure advance, or some other parameter. What filament are you using, and where did you get your filament profile that’s being used?

I am using Bambulab PET-CF, and I am using the Bambulab PET-CF profile in Bambu studio.

How can I know if its oozing or retraction/pressure advance?

Thanks

Give this profile a try, see what it does:

Great, thank you. I will give it a try and report back.

Do you think that the nozzle requires replacement?

You haven’t really given me any information that I could use to make a reasonably informed decision.

That being said, nozzle wear has nothing to do with this issue.

The profile you recommended has changed the location of that oozing. It is still happening, noticeably less, and in a different location. Which I don’t understand why a new profile would make it shift.

What information would you need to help you in making an informed diagnosis?

Thanks again.

How have you dried the filament? PET-CF is very hygroscopic (similar to Nylon) and requires thorough drying and either printing while drying or at minimum from a dry box.

Besides that can you attach your project file? It looks like you also need to adjust the bridging fan.

Which specific hotend it is.

Which size of hotend.

How many hours you’ve printed with it.

What materials you typically print with it.

Hey,

Hotend: Hardened Steel Complete Hotend with the Hardened Steel Extruder Gear Assembly

Size: 0.4mm

Hours: 929 hrs

Material: The majority is PET-CF, with occasional PLA and TPU

Thanks
