I have tried a couple long prints and they are turning out real stringy. Both recent prints were 30-49 hours long and they looked terrible when completed. I am new to 3D printing and looking for some help here.
its a generic answer but in my experience stringy prints are usually the result of wet filament. You should dry the filament/s used for the print at the manufacturer’s recommended heat and time. For PLA it’s usually something like 55c for 8 hours.
Once the filament is dry, store it in a dry place (airtight container with desiccants) when not in use. In a humid environment, you should have some sort of enclosure around the filament when printing, like the AMS or some other solution.
First thing I would suggest is to print short time models down in the 1 - 4 hour range while you get your arms around running the printer. Save those long prints for when you’ve got the printer well in hand.
