Struggling with Bambu Matte Filament - Tips for Better Surface Finish?

I don’t know it’s your issue but the way I found out about filament moisture was everything printed great from when I got my printer until it didn’t. The change coincided with the seasons as we moved out of being really dry to somewhat humid.

I get really nice prints from bambu matte pla and surfaces look nice and smooth and layer lines aren’t that prominent. All on stock settings for pla matte.

I was using matte filament to print a fixture to help with drying and the first iterations with undried filament were good but after I was really drying the filament they looked really good.

May or may not be your issue though.

Also, surface finish issues can be caused by adhesion to the build plate. If corners start letting go, the print can curl and cause the nozzle to contact the model and drag filament into ridges and such.

Photos would help point you in the right direction.
