Studio - is there a way to add a non physical printer

I am thinking of adding some X2Ds to my estate but want to compare existing projects to evaluate the benefits.

To that extent I would love to be able to add an X2D printer to studio, but software will not allow it.

Would Orca or alternative allow it?

Once evaluate I can decide which way forward

In Studio > Printer > Select/Remove Printers > Check the X2D > Confirm

You might need to update to the latest version of Studio to see the X2D as an option.

What do you mean by “not allow it?” If the X2D isn’t on the list of printer choices, that likely means the version of Studio you’re using doesn’t support it yet (X2D was just added in v2.5.3). Orca likely won’t support it for some time yet. But if you’re using the latest Studio, it should be selectable in the list.

Sorry guys - been a long day. Just realise I am a couple of updates behind as forum was posting there where various issue on later versions of studio so decided to hang back.

All updated now and X2D added.
