Recently a user left a comment on one of my models stating exactly what is says in the title.
I use an A1, so when I save a profile, that is the selected printer. When this user opens my profile, they switch over to P1S, Studio kicks the prime tower off the bed and won’t print the plate. I checked it out myself, and sure enough this is happens when you open my profile and change printers to P1S…
Now, I can manually place the prime tower in, save my profile with P1S as the selected printer and when someone opens that profile, everything will be ok for P1S users. If you then switch the printer back to A1, it kicks the prime tower off the plate again, making the plate unprintable for A1 users.
As it stands, I can only make the profile printable for one type of printer, A1, A1 mini, any P series or any X series.
Anyone know of a way to keep the prime tower on the plate for all printer types?
I remember this being a bug in a few versions back.
If you manually pull the prime tower away from the edge a couple of cm, save the project and then swap.
This used to rectify it before.
If that fails, as a test, close the project and open it again after the save and before the swap.
That is effectively a turn it off and in again. Long shot, but any shot is good right now.

Coincidentally, or YOUR fault, this actually just happened to me after downloading an unrelated model and swapping between P1S and A1 mini.

I appreciate your efforts in trying to find a solution. I tried those steps, but had the same result. I submitted a bug report ticket, but found the culprit (I believe) almost immediately after.
I have custom prime tower settings on that model. I dropped the rib wall and reduced the width from 35mm to 20mm. Once I cleared those settings back to default, I was able to swap printers without errors.
If you still have that unrelated model kicking around, maybe give it a peek for custom prime tower settings.
