Sudden issues with layer separation on my A1 Mini

Hi everyone,

after a perfectly fine print earlier I have issues with layer separation and strange stringing (see pictures).
I tried several filaments, replaced the hotend, opened the extruder assembly and even replaced the Extruder Gear. Nothing worked.

Printing Benchys worked fine somehow which I find weird. What was additionally strange is that I had a print in between all the tests where no filament was extruded at all. The printer moved like it supposed to, the extruder worked, but no filament was extruded.

I used an A1 Mini with several types of PLA incl. completely new ones from Overture to make sure it’s not because the filament is moist or anything.

Hoping someone of you has an idea.

Might be a partial clog or the temps to low. What temp you printing at?

Temperature is 230°, same as all the other prints before.
I also thought it could be a clog, but where? The nozzle is new, the extruder gear is new and everything’s clean.

This is a very long shot, but did you check that the screws behind the nozzle are tight, first check the 4 screws on the plate behind the three screws. This wiki article is much clearer than I am.

I just did that and started a new print after tinkering with the printer again. It didn’t work.

I think the issue is somewhere between the feeder and the extruder as the extruder is working fine but the filament flow just stopped after 5 layers this time. And there is definitely no clog, the filament feed just won’t move.
Thats the 2nd time this happened. I’m 90% sure it’s not the AMS as I tried printing on several AMS positions and the issue persisted.

I think I’m going to order a new filament hub and filament sensor…and open a ticket at BambuLab support. See what they say…

Thanks for your help!
