Hi everyone,
Has anyone else started experiencing massive issues printing TPU on the Bambu Lab P2S after the recent firmware and Bambu Studio updates?
Just a week ago, everything was printing perfectly, and now it’s an absolute mess. It feels like the printer is completely ignoring my filament settings—like the Flow Rate, Pressure Advance, and temperature are completely off.
Here is the context and what I’ve tried:
- The blue Benchy (in the photo) and big blue parts: Printed a little over a week ago, before the firmware and software updates. It printed beautifully. The filament was dried for 8 hours at 55°C right before printing.
- The flat “cheek” parts (blue and red): Printed yesterday with absolutely zero changes to my print settings.
- Filament Prep: The blue SUNLU TPU was dried overnight (8 hours at 55°C) right before printing. The red TPU wasn’t actively dried this time, but it had been sitting in a sealed bag with silica gel for 1-2 weeks. Both printed terribly.
- Troubleshooting: I’ve tried bumping up the hotend temperature, increasing the part cooling, and printing with the door/top glass open and closed. Nothing changes the situation. I also ran a full machine recalibration, which didn’t help at all.
While watching it print, it almost looks like the nozzle is dragging below the current layer.
Has anyone else run into this nightmare since updating? Any workarounds or ideas on what broke? Photos and videos attached.
