Since yesterday my P1S has become unbearably loud. Those seems to be an X-Y problem but I cannot pin down where.

As you can hear in the above video, it sounds terrible. While it was never quiet compared to my Prusa Mini ot MK4, this is not normal for this machine. Normally it is the fan noise that is forefront, not the print head moving.
I have tried cleaning everything. I have tried tensioning the belts. No improvement. Any suggestions appreciated as until this is fixed I am unable to use the machine as it is just annoying everyone in the house. Even next door can hear it. I ran calibration too, no change.
The print here is just the bench on the card that came with the machine. All prints sound the same.
When was the last time you performed maintenance on the printer? With the power off, does it make excess noise when moving the print head by hand?
Sounds a lot like harmonics from one of the stepper motors. Reminds me of my old CR-10 at certain speeds. Maybe a stepper motor or driver that’s on the way out? I assume you’ve opened a ticket with Bambu? Assuming there’s no excessive wear, to @blchandl2 point, something with the MB or motors are needing attention.
Thank you both for your thoughts. The printer has done approximately 12 rolls of filament in total since new so not heavily used. I have performed maintenance recently but the issue suddenly appeared. I carried out maintenance again today but still no joy. I will raise a support ticket when I get back home tomorrow.
After performing maintenance, did you run a self calibration? It is recommended whenever maintenance is performed.
Yes, ran it twice. It took nearly an hour a time which was a bit odd.
That is odd. Was there a particular part of the calibration that took longer than before?
Hard to say as I didn’t keep a good eye on it. When I get home from work I will run it again. I also plan to look at all the idlers etc and give them a good clean first. It is amazing how hard it is to track down things like this can be, doubly so ir it is an electronics issue such as a failing driver.
Does it do that for other models, or just that one?
The sound is far from normal, but it’s also suspiciously like music made by driving servo motors in rapid tiny steps back and forth. It could just be that one model causing it.
No, it happens with any file printed. That was the benchy, the one on the card that comes with the printer. Any other file I print is just as loud but only since the last few days. Before, fans aside, the machine was quiet enough that it would be possible to sleep in the same room. Now it would wake someone up on a different floor.
So it now seems to be fixed. When I got home and switched on a new firmware update was available. So after updating I printed another benchy. I changed nothing other than the firmware. I did no more cleaning, no new calibration etc. So all I can think of was I had a firmware issue. Now I have to admit, I do not turn this particular printer on too often simply because of where it is located. This means my other machines get used more. So I may have switched it on, did an update and not used it afterwards. Last time I used this machine was late November. I know there have been a few Bambu studio and handy updates that have happened since I last used this machine. I am sure as I was printing files from the SD card that the applications were not the issue here.
So for now, I am happy. I will move this printer to where my others are now I have actually stopped being lazy and cleared the space. Thanks all for your help and support, it really is appreciated. Sometimes when the head scratching is drawing blood just hearing others ideas really helps.

Did you run a self calibration after the firmware update? It is a good practice since sometimes the update changes the self calibration.
I have this time. Hopefully I will not encounter this problem again.
