Suggestions on how to correct this?

Whenever I print a tubular shaped object with round holes in it, I get these lines to the right side near the top and bottom of the round hole. I’m using an H2D. Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this and how to eliminate it?


Have you tried turning on polyholes or experimented with the inner/outer/inner option in the “walls printing order” dropdown menu in the “quality” tab?

I don’t see polyholes as an option in Bambu Studio. But yes I have tried switching inner/outer etc with no improvement.

At this stage I’m tired of answering this question now, but I’ll do it just one more time before I make a post just for this once and for all.

First and foremost:
Circular vertical holes are SUPER HARD TO PRINT WELL. DON’T EXPECT IT TO BE COMING OUT PERFECT. Unless you pay a lot of adjusting efforts and have always got really good luck.

Second, the best way to fix (or more likely, just make it tiny bit better) this is to:

  • Slow down by reducing wall print speed. Go no faster than 60mm/s.
  • Slow down by reducing layer height. Go 0.1mm layer height.
  • Slow down by reducing the Smooth Coefficient. Change it to 1.
  • Also check your seam. You are most likely having a seam on the edge of holes, which is the worst case. If it doesn’t matter, you can just paint the seam in the inside of the pipe, avoiding the seam on the holes. If the looks doesn’t matter you can use random seam (which isn’t a good idea for prints that needs a good looking surface).

Oh. “convert holes to polyholes” under the precision tab may be an orca slicer thing only. Ah well.

I have tried all the things you mentioned. Slowing the print speed down helps a little, but does not eliminate the problem. I know for a fact these can be eliminated. Here is an example.

However, I don’t know if this was done on a Bambu printer.

Could you post a photo of your new print and compare?

The other print that you showed looks like was printed super slow, and with a very small acceleration value, judged by the corners. Which essentially should be similar to adjusting the smooth coefficient.
