Sunlu end of spool?

Hi

Just kicked off a print with Sunlu PETG mounted on the AMS. I suspect there’s not enough on the spool to complete the print but I’ve another spool ready to complete the print on the AMS. More than likely the first will run out during the night. I know, bad planning! Does anyone know how the filament “ends” on Sunlu spools? Taped down, tethered in a hole? (First time use of Sunlu so not sure). For info, the Sunlu is recently purchased and is on a dark blue spool that fits the AMS without an adapter.

If and when the spool ends and if it can’t auto switch to the other spool, anyone know what happens? Assume the printer will error. Will it then leave the heated bed on or will it turn off and cool down?

Cheers

I have not found Sunlu to attach the end of the filament to the spool. When it runs out, the printer will pause and wait you to either cancel the print OR put another roll of the same kind of filament in that slot on the printer. It should be waiting on you in the morning.

Thanks for the answer. Fingers crossed!
