Just Saw that SUNLU has released a version 2.0 of their PETG filament.
Reported improvements include less moisture absorption and stronger layer adhesion.
Considering getting a couple rolls, but I have so much of their High Speed MATTE PETG open that I wouldn’t get around to testing out this new PETG for a while.
Which consumable is easier to use?
And you are happy with the Matte Petg from Sunlu?
I have a few spools of it arriving tomorrow since I’ve used their PLA 2.0 and love that. I’ve had awesome PETG from them in the past so I hope this is another home run for them,
I’m not a super user of PETG in general, but I’ve been very happy with their HS Matte PETG so far!
I got myself some white PETG 2.0, works great!! Can’t say too much yet about the strength potential as I havent done those kinds of tests (yet) but the prints themselves come out very clean and feel very sturdy from what i can tell so far!
are you using generic filament profile or have you tuned one?
So what I did is add a custom filament because I know SUNLU generally does fine under Bambu Profiles however I like to do Flow Rate calibrations for my filaments and have them properly named, thus: i add a custom filament, pick the Brand Sunlu and then PETG (there is no 2.0 option but it seems to be doing fine) then I make sure it copies the Bambulab PETG Basic profile, so not the generic one, I prefer this also because it has faster print times than the generic profiles do (safety measure for 3rd-party brands) Then I do a complete Flow Rate Calibration with my Sunlu PETG profile to finetune it even more, ah and for the printbed I cranked that up to 75°.
