I uploaded a set of Madballs coasters recently, and I was asked about the process I used, so I’m posting it here.
It’s super easy, I used the Image-to-Keychain maker which is actually Image-to-2D as it can make stuff like coasters and playing cards just as easy.
First, upload an image and hit confirm. I don’t mess with any of those adjustments.
Next, you’re going to have to confirm how many colours you want to use. I use an A1 combo, so I went with 4 colours. Your picture will probably look right funny, but don’t worry about that, just hit confirm.
Next, choose the four colours you want to use. For this coaster, I went with White, Black, Purple and Ice Blue.
Once you have chosen your colours, you can start adjusting the image. If you click on any given part of the image, a drop down menu will appear allowing you to adjust the colour of the selected piece. In the following image, I have three sections of purple around the inside of the eye selected and I’ll use the drop down menu to switch them to white.
Continue doing this until you have the colour set the way you would like.
On the right hand side, click on the “Plate and Thickness” tab. I set the plate thickness to 3mm and the image thickness to 0.8 mm. I printed these with a 0.4 mm nozzle with a layer height of 0.2 mm, so that will give me four layers of colour on top of a 3 mm black base
Then just download your 3mf and open it up in BambuStudio.
