Supertack Pro for H2D

Anyone running the Super Tack Pro on their H2D? How is it? I currently have a frostbite for my X1 and its great, but I don’t have any of the official Bambu extra sticky plates… I’m just wondering what people’s impressions have been of the H2D Super Tack, how comparable is it to the frostbite? I’m about to place a big order for filament and debating whether to throw one of these in too.

I’m using on the H2S. It’s more or less like the frostbite. I think it works a little better, but not leaps and bounds. It is a bit more resistant to scratches than the older supertack. I have been using it more than frostbite for small parts.

To be honest, when it’s time to replace the frostbite you may look into it. Unless you’re a dork like me and you want to try it just to try it.

My Take:

  • SuperTack Pro is the safe, reliable choice with official Bambu support and solid performance.
  • Frostbite offers excellent value and very strong adhesion at even lower temps than SuperTack Pro, but limited to PLA/PETG.
  • ICE is the premium option—prints cold, handles more materials (unofficially), and has the strongest adhesion, but costs more.

Just one thing to add, the current version of the Frostbite does list ABS as compatible (and I guess by extension ASA). I’ve read that the older versions did not, though no personal experience.


No issues here with SuperTack Pro on H2C, but also nothing to compare it to so far, really. Doesn’t “prevent warping” or anything magical, but sticks at least as well as the textured PEI, but of course is smooth. I’ll try with lower temps in the summer maybe, but so far “normal” temps seem to work best (eg. same as PEI or the “Cool Plate SuperTack”). Wish it could handle more materials. Engineering plate works well for others but requires glue.

Note that Bambu Studio still doesn’t come with any filament temperature presets specifically for the SuperTack Pro, which advertises lower recommended temperatures than the older “Cool Plate SuperTack” which shows up in Studio.
