Hi, I am using the X1 Carbon with Studio 1.9.2.57 and upload my print jobs to the printer via LAN. Since a few days I have a strange problem: In Studio the software selects the correct support filament. When I start printing, I can also select the two matching filaments (PLA and support). During printing, however, the support filament is ignored. The print is briefly interrupted when the support filament is selected. It also cleans the nozzle, but not with the support filament, but again with the same PLA filament. This means that in the end everything is printed with PLA - nothing with the support. It’s also strange that it doesn’t do the cleaning at the back above the waste area, but extrudes a pile of filament at the front left in the middle of the hotplate. Does anyone have any idea where I can look for the error?
I made a picture to clearify the situation:
Please see the big blue bubble on the bottom left side. This is the place, where the printer cleans the nozzle. I had to stop the print, because the nozzle already touches the hardned PLA waste – I have doubts of some nozzle damage. The nozzle gets cleaned on this position – however, after extrusion of the waste, the nozzle moves back to the waste can to „scretch“ the nozzle over the black roll. Very strange behavior?! Do you have any ideas to solve the problem?
@ToMe I’m having the same issue currently. I know no one has answered you back yet, but have you figured out the issue. For me it started a day ago.
Do be honest: the only way I found was to buy a new printer. I made a factory reset… but after that the printer switched the filament ONCE from PLA to support filament but not back anymore. It is frustrading… The official Bambulab support is horrible. They ask strange questions and the answers does not fit to my questions / problems. I’ll give Support another two weeks, then I’ll claim the statutory warranty.
