A while ago I bought “Support for PLA” filament. Didn’t think twice about it until I discovered that, at some point, I’d opened the box. Now I’m not sure if the spool of white PLA I’ve got is actually white filament or Support filament. I’ve got a mostly-used spool of white-coloured filament in another box.
When I sync my AMS Lite, Bambu Studio reports that I’ve got Bambu PLA Matte - Ivory White loaded.
Finally, my question: what will Bambu Studio report if I’ve loaded the Support for PLA filament?
The sticker on the side of the BL spool will say Support for whatever
Studio will recognize it as support.

Thank you; very helpful information. I forgot to mention that I only had a handful of spools so I was in the habit of swapping filament around. At some point I must have used the Support spool to hold something else because now I have a few feet of what I think is the Support in a zip lock bag in a box without a spool.

Just to be clear, if it’s on it’s spool that’s the only way Studio will know what it is. Studio needs RFID tags to tell it what the filament is.
Right – when I say spool I mean the large plastic wheel that holds the filament on the AMS; the RFID tags appear to be attached to the cardboard core. Anyway, if the (plastic) spool that came with the support filament is labeled as such then it’s got to be around here somewhere. In any case, I feel confident that the white filament I’ve been using this past week is actually PLA filament and not Support filament.

Well it was PLA, you’d never get a print with Support.
Ok, that’s good to know; I have printed a few things with this particular filament although the last one I did ended up just an oozing mess, which has never happened before. It was actually this experience that made me wonder if I had the wrong filament on the roll.
