Supports inside my basketball!

I am desperately seeking for the right support settings I need for printing a basketball for my grandson. I have done multiple attempts with different settings with no result. One problem is that removing the supports is very tough but even bigger problem is that supports are also inside the basketball (see picture). Has anyone the right solution for this?
Filament I use is PEBA (SpoolHaus). Support type=auto, top Z-distance=0.45, bottom Z-distance=0.25

I’ve had success with manually painting standard support (not tree) set to “snug”. I also use PLA as the interface and base material, as removing supports made of the same PEBA material proved difficult and caused scarring. If you’re able to use a dual-extruder system, that is ideal. If only a single is available, perhaps someone can offer specific settings adjustments that may improve your results for same-material support structures.
