Suspicious behavior when filament package is lost/delayed

2 months ago I ordered some Wood PLA that got stuck in transit and still is.
Delays happen, that’s not the problem.
What bothers me is that exactly 1 month after the order, it was moved from “Shipped” to “Delivered”. If I hadn’t paid close attention to what had been delivered, it’s very likely I would have overlooked the missing roll.

I contacted support about the issue and asked them if there was some kind of process to automatically triage and mark packages as delivered after some time: they apologised for the delay, but failed to comment on the process.

So I’m curious if anybody in the community has ever experienced this behavior?
Obviously if I’m not the only one, it should be pushed harder to Bambu, as faking a delivery for the sake of reducing their pending delivery backlog would be totally dishonest and unacceptable.

I had a similar issue recently. Ordered 3 metal filament and 3 of the same wood filament to finish a large project I had. The box weight showed what appeared to be the proper weight for 6 filament spools 1kg each but on arrival box only contained the 3 metal filaments. Only thing I can think of is that someone weight it then pulled out the 3 wood filaments, which were immediately out of stock again after I ordered, or the wood was never in stock and the weight was some other spool because they don’t have any. Anyway I eacalated and it’s being replaced but we are now another few weeks down the line waiting for them.

Not sure if someone is running a delay tactic or actually taking these filaments in the supply chain.

Interesting but that’s a different problem, as if I understand you well, it means in your case the package was tampered with at BBL warehouse, which is…even worse?

In my case the order was split in 2 packages: the 1st one handled by YunExpress was delivered in time. The 2nd one handled to Gofo Shipping is still in transit as we speak, 2 months after the order.

What bothers me is that the status of the order on Bambu Store was moved from “shipping” to “delivered” exactly 30 days after the initial order, although it was not delivered and Bambu had not received info from the carrier saying so… Which really makes me think that the store has some kind of timeout hidden mechanic that automatically “handle” delivery problems by marking them as “delivered” after some time. Basically the equivalent of an open support ticket that gets “resolved” automatically if no action has been taken for some time.

The last time I ordered a batch of filament, one roll arrived a couple of days later, but the for rest, the shipped date kept changing. Every time I looked at the order information, the shipping date kept moving. Eventually the second package arrived about a week after the shipping date, but that was after the shipping date had slipped more than a week.

Seems like this might have been a simple case of baseing shipping wieght on the order, rather than actually weighing the package. Did you happen to actually weigh the box and all contents?

Not with Bambu orders but I have also had companies use a minimum shipping weight, sometimes a lb or more than the actual weight.

Possible, I did not weigh it myself but just used the basic 1kg and the fact that I got 3 instead of 6 (package weight would have been 6) so could be they entered the total and just never put them in for some reason.

Support did say it was all in 1 package though, which is why they are sending replacements tbd on getting them still.

I must have glossed over the part where you said you escalated and they are sending replacements. That does make it sound like they thought they had sent the entire order. Pretty discouraging.
