Hi there,
As a brand new H2D and AMS 2 Pro owner, I have the same question with a bit of a twist…and I’d love to get pro advice from the experienced users here.
I’ve been printing Bambu PLA Basic with the default 0.4 hardened steel hot ends that ship with the H2D. However, I just purchased the 0.4 high flow hardened steel hot ends and want to swap them in.
I know that the H2D leaves a filament stub in the hot ends when the AMS retracts filament.
My question is: is it okay to leave those stubs in the hot ends (in particular if I’m just using PLA) when I remove my standard hot ends and store them for several months?
And if not, is there an “official” process for prepping the hot ends for storage? (I’ve read Bambu docs on cold pulls but that doesn’t seem as relevant…maybe I’m wrong).
Thank you in advance!
