Switch nozzles - Printer not printing

Morning all,

Just hopefully a quick one - Printer is working fine with the 0.4 mm nozzle - Switched over to the 0.2 mm nozzle Stainless steel and now its not printing at all.

Switch the nozzle over - changed it in the printer… sync it to bamboo studios.

Set a print off - it does the auto bed level - Dynamic flow … and the little test line and then it makes the motions that its printing but it is just pushing filament out slowly. alomost like its not touching the bed.

I’ve Calibrated it - what am i missing?

Kindest regards,
Silver.

Make sure the filament you’re using is compatible with a .2 nozzle. For example Any TPU wont work and will do exactly what your saying at a 0.2 nozzle with some really soft TPU needing a 0.6 nozzle.

Im using Sunlu PLA - im 95% sure its compatible ill check though

Do you mean that it is so mushed onto the plate that not much can flow, the extruder is clicking and back driving, and the flow is very slow? Or that it’s so far from the plate that it is still a cylindrical thread? Or that the movement system is slow?

Pics would help. 0.2 is “slow” by default, you’ve reduced the area of the physical hole of the nozzle by a factor of 4.
