Switching from PETG to TPU and back

Hi everyone!

I got my X1C two weeks ago, i love it! I just need some advice on what should be done when switching from printing with PETG to TPU and back to PETG.

Not within the same print job, i mean as a separate job.

I’m asking this because i had lots of issue with my old printer when going from PETG to PLA and i did not even dared to try TPU.

When loading the PETG after having printed with TPU, should you purge more filament to make sure no TPU remains? how much should i purge?

Would it be better to use a hotend dedicated to TPU or this is overkill?

What would you recommend?

Thank you

Hi, I personally have never asked myself or even cared about this and I print everything, ASA, ABS Petg TPU ect, etc. with a 0.4 hardened nozzle

So, all you do is let the printer do the default purge of the old filament and nothing more?

That is what i do also. You may have to do a little tuning if you use some othe brands. But that is it and not a big time commitment.
