Hi everyone!
I’ve been building a free web tool called SWITCHMINT, and I’d love to get feedback from people who actually use Bambu printers.
SWITCHMINT lets you turn an image into a printable MX clicker / keycap-style product without having to build everything manually in CAD.
The current version is free to use.
With SWITCHMINT, you can currently:
- Turn an image into a printable clicker design
- Create connected 2–4 button clicker layouts
- Use basic shapes or the image silhouette itself as the product shape
- Combine flat, embossed, and engraved areas by color
- Use automatic background removal or manually choose the area you want
- Adjust the base, keyring hole, dimensions, and MX stem fit
- Export STL or multicolor 3MF files for Bambu Studio
- Prepare multiple copies while considering object spacing and print layout
The goal is to make SWITCHMINT more than just an image-to-clicker converter.
I’m trying to build a small clicker design studio where you can go from:
Image → editing → shape → depth → MX parts → print preparation
in one workflow.
Try it for free:
Right now, I’m mainly looking for feedback from real users:
- Which feature seems most useful?
- Is the workflow easy to understand?
- Is anything confusing or unnecessary?
- Did you run into strange geometry or bad results?
- What would you want added before using it for a real print?
About pricing & commercial use
SWITCHMINT is currently free to use.
Some optional advanced features may become paid in the future, but the project is still in the feedback and development stage.
Commercial use is NOT currently permitted.
I’m planning to offer a separate commercial license in the future, but commercial licensing is not available yet.
For now, I’d really like to improve the tool based on feedback from people who actually print these kinds of things.
If you’d like to support the project:
Thanks for taking a look!
