So something happened durning a print that broke the wire on my right heating element. I ordered the replacement and put it in. I am still getting a temperature malfunction in the new one too. I went back through the instructions a couple times and it was pretty simple. Without taking everything back off, what I can see looks good. The cable is routed I. The same path, and under the little tab. I noticed I had a foam block with mine and that is only used on the left one. Did they accidentally send me a left one? Is it possible to plug it in to the right side? Not sure if it is the same connector. I am guessing if it does plug in, and doesn’t work, then maybe I got the wrong one. Any way to confirm? Did anyone else get a foam block with the right side? I have done a power cycle and cleared it but there is definitely a problem.
Just a quick update I took everything back apart. everything looks good, wires are all good, connector was fully seated correctly ect. I did notice there is a number on the small PCB. my right heating element had 0325 and the left had 0225. the new one has 1825. I am not sure if this is a later rev, a serial number, a part number or what. I still need to test the new part with a DMM and see what I get on it. I sent the photos to BBL, and am waiting to hear back.
turns out that number is just a batch number. I plugged the right HE into the left side and turned on the printer. error was still on the right side. the left cable is not long enough to reach the right side without taking the HE off.
looks like i have to replace the TH board.
