I was penalized becouse people download and boost me too many, I absolutely did nothing of what is reported in their communication, I have 4100 followers I don’t need help or hacking to score, I spent days modeling and thinking about the concepts to be created to then be repaid by makerworld, pointed out as an exploiter, reply at it with a ticket and an appeal was of no use, the response was the average
As can be seen on their reply it’s “the system’s point manipulation detection.” That says that they haven’t performed a manual review and you have to insist on having one performed.
It cannot be:
It’s the human that needs to check and be the one to actually say “OK, the models simply got popular fast and that triggered the detection, hope you understand” and hopefully say “the ban’s lifted, points restored, no harm no foul”
This is absurd! I have had a couple of models that got a random surge in downloads because some random dude on Instagram prints my model and shares it online, months after uploading. I have had that happen once by an Instagram post that Bambu made themselves, which made me return to this platform.
It should also be quite easy to verify because in my experience a quite steady percentage of downloads results in makes (different percentage per model though) which are verifiable by Bambu keeping an eye on all their printers and what they print through Handy.
But still, this is absurd. I get that they want to reduce gaming the system but this is not the way. I think 90% of these rejections will be appealed so they will have to do all the manual labor in the end as well.
Would be a shame if you removed your designs though, because my guess is that it will take more than 48 hours anyway due to my expected current overload in appeals.
Crazy… I hope you get reinstated by @MakerWorld and that this review process gets a bit more nifty with checking sudden surges in downloads. Social media will do that to you. Even bambulab_official will do that to you apparently, and kill you off afterwards.
I get your frustration but I hope you won’t have to delete your awesome models
I understand your frustration, however I wouldn’t give in to negative emotions. This is most likely a false-positive and manual review should clear this up.
Try to understand this from their side - MakerWorld offers huge incentives to upload on their platform and that attracts people gaming the system. Automated flagging helps with all those who actually game the system but it’s not perfect and prone to falsely catching people who got “a meteoritic rise.”
Try to stay calm, make your case, insist on manual review and it all should get cleared.

just had a rejection and i resubmitted the gift cards with the fear of ban because one user decided to boost me twice within 1 minute
makerworld wants us to miss blackfriday on purpose.
Have they been complaining also if you download your own model to see if it is the correct file, i been trying to avoid this, assume it counts those also in the download pool. Some of these systems feel a bit like they are in place to not have to pay the designer!
I’m not sure this counts at all. I slice on my work pc and print at home, so I need a way to transfer files to Handy. So sometimes I upload a hidden print profile, open it in Handy, print the file and if it works I make the print file public. But at that point both download and print counters are still at 0. Not sure this is definitive and I don’t know how the counters exactly work but this was my observation.
a 1 or 2 self download should NOT even to be put in consideration, but lets say 100 self download that could be considered as cheating.
BUT…let address the obvious, if self download could deduct points at redemption, why is it counted at a download in the pool from the 1st place.
btw i had about 2 or 3 self download on different objects, just because i use 3 different devices to access makerworld…and got point deducted for self download -_-
I waited a week to redeem ONE $40 gift card and it was declined because of a “violation” so they really need to figure out what they’re doing here. Or no one will be giving them free labor anymore.
Not sure here either, but since all this is so sketchy cannot put myself to download any of them, just try to pick the correct file and triple check from the name of the file its not wrong version. I mean not like im going to be cashing anything for a looooong time anyway, but im pretty sure they will find a way to punish even that looking at how things seems to be handled.
agreed, that is what i been wondering too. Just dont see any benefit for it counting the self downloads at all, or same IP address for that matter…
Perhaps I will receive a similar message, because when I decided to redeem my 10 gift cards on Friday, today I received 4 vouchers from two accounts that do not have a single download or printout on their accounts. 2 of my models were supported, one got two boosts at 9:15 from one account and the other got two boosts at 10:35 from the other account. I don’t know if I should report this since I’m already in the process of trying to redeem the cards.
uh oh i had an incident yesterday where I tried to open my newly uploaded design in BS as a normal practice to test and see if all settings come up correctly. For some reason it wouldnt open so I clicked it again and nothing, clicked it a few more times and it still wouldnt open. I got distracted left my computer for a few minutes and when i came back about 7 BS instances were open lol somehow it delayed to open, i have a very top of the line computer so plenty of memory drivespace and other resources so I dont understand how it lagged or delayed, but that bing said it will probably appear that i was trying to manipulate the numbers… hopefully not I didnt print anything but simply closed the 7 windows
imagine these are undercover accounts which boosts users who has redeemable amount of points, intentionally boosting them just to make the redemption rejection an excusable reason for them.
please don’t make this a rumer I’m just joking…i swear.
