Hello. My new H2S Full Laser Combo has a problem with the cutter insert. Every time I want to cut plates, I first have to run the calibration. I can accept that this has to be done the first time. But when the printer is turned off and then on again, the calibration has to be repeated.
That can’t be right, can it?
The same goes for the laser, it needs a recalibration every time you power the printer on. Should be the same for cutting tool I think.
OK, that’s annoying. Maybe it will be changed?

This also applies to the laser; it has to be done every time the laser head is inserted to check that it is properly mounted.
In addition, I have both laser heads (10 and 40W), and the firmware is updated every time I change them.
Honestly, either take the few minutes to calibrate. Or proceed and run into issues that waste your time?.
Utilize the machines features and let it work for you. The cutter is calibrated every time it’s installed due to the head not knowing the relative position of the blade itself when attached to the headbed, it’ll only have the relative position based off the print head
