The first layer seems to extrude excess filament and creates ridges

While printing a toroidal blade I designed, I was experiencing this during the first few layers. I have not had the problem in the past and now every print is experiencing the same issue. I am using dried PLA with normal settings for this filament. Once I am above the first few layers, the nozzle irons out the ridges, but it is a coin toss for if it clogs, fails, or is a success. If the printer is able to iron out these ridges, the remaining print is perfect. Yes, the bed is clean, and I rarely use glue for PLA. Any advice?

you sure that isnt PLA support filament?

I don’t have any support filament, but that looks exactly like the support filament that I got with my printer.
