If H2D indeed prints more accurately than other BL printers, will a design that has the right tolerance for parts to fit when printing on other printers now become too tight to fit or too loose when printing on H2D?

I made a Lego compatible design last week, but I had to tweak the design to get a nice fit (using the A1). I’ll try one of the parts tomorrow on the H2D directly from the print profile if I don’t forget. I know higher accuracy is better, but if all friction fit print profiles do not work on the H2D that is still an issue…
This was one of my fears, especially with the encoder sheet and calibration. I’ll check it closely when I start using it, but that just means things will have to be designed to work with a greater amount of variability.
It depends on how the part is designed to fit, in my experience the most reliable way to fit parts is to actually use a small draft angle instead of adding any clearance between the faces. A small angle of just 2-3 degrees on the mated surfaces will allow for plenty of clearance until you get to the last 1mm at which point the parts starts to “click” into place as the layer lines are compressed together for a nice snug fit. It also makes for very simple modeling where you can just boolean subtract one part from another to create the fit.
