I have an X1E and I’m sure I’m not the only one who does. However, with the release of the H2D it outclasses the X1E in every way. It’s also even cheaper (X1E MSRP is approximately $2699). Given that you can’t purchase basically anything special for the X1E on Bambu’s site (Hotends, and etc.). It makes me wonder if the product is quietly being dropped. The unit even still comes with the old AMS according to Bambu and I haven’t seen anything for firmware updates to support the new AMS and it’s drying function.
I want the new firmware features that the X1C is getting, but I don’t know if they will ever be made available. With the introduction of the H2D there have been steady incremental upgrades and updates to the other models, but the X1E is being left out and Bambu has not said a word.
So my question is this. Is the X1E dead?

I think the update will come. They have to do it one after another. The update for X/P series just came out.
X1E is an enterprise line. It will have its own evolutionary path, parallel to those of X, P, A, and the new product line H2D.
Yes, I think the X1E is dead, probably will not get updated even, mostly because bambu is focussing on making new printers. Also I have not seen anything about the X1E in a while, its possible they might do smith in the following years
If that’s true, then that’s a problem. I bought this specifically for 3 reasons. The heated chamber, hotter hotend, and the support window that’s longer than the X1C. It’s all on the webpage for it. They plan on supporting this for at least a year or so after they end support for the X1C.
I print using a lot of engineering grade materials. I needed something to offload from the Stratasys machines.

I hope not, I love my X1E and it’s keeping its spot next to the new H2D. It’s pretty much stock because it just works out of the box, but I would like to see the new AMS added.

As far as I know the H2D doesn’t have the ethernet port or the network safety that is built in with the X1E either. It certainly is not obsolete, but will they come out with an H2E?? Time will tell.
I want an H2D but cannot justify it since my X1C is such a solid machine. I just don’t do that many dual color prints. But if I do get it, I certainly hope to play with multi material in the future!

I know this is an older topic and now the H2S is out and other than the networking capabilities, the H2S just killed the X1E, imho. You can almost get 2 of the H2S’s for the price of an X1E.
I also just noticed today that the X1C is no longer on their site. Just the way things work, I guess.
I do have an X1E and X1C, so I will just run them until they die and get the next greatest thing.
Bambu has never only had 1 printer in a series…. So that means tha if there is an X2D, there would need to be another X2 series printer…..
