i have no clue so im coming here for advice, any ideas? it takes me sometimes an hour to get the plate clean.
A little mor info would be good. Filament type, settings, etc.
its just standard, ive changed nothing. they used to be nice and smooth and easy to remove but right after i installed that last patch this started happening. I mean at least i know my mini wont come off the plate but i literally have to scrape and scratch to get it off and that cant be good.

Clean the plate.

Plastic razor blade (Aliexpress, Amazon etc). Scrapes without damaging the plate. You can find handles for them on Makerworld, Printables etc.
ok thanks im sittin here now trying to get this stuff off and its madenning.
Print a primitive over the top of it, something at least a few mm thick.
Putting the plate in the freezer for a bit can help when trying to remove really stubborn bits.
tried the plastic razor blade idea from above…scraped for 30 min with nearly nothing coming off. its almost like they are permanently bonded to the plate
Is that on the stock build plate? Did you try a smooth plate? I seem to have this issue more with the textured plates.
You can get replacement plates from Amazon/AilExpress/Temu for about $10 eash or less, both smooth and textured, so it’s not a big deal to just get a replacement.
The best way I’ve found to remove those thin brims is using a fingernail.
As the thin plastic jams up into the quick between fingernail and finger and that excruciating pain takes hold, I frequently find the brim has been cleanly removed and removal from under the fingernail is facilitated by lubrication from the blood.
Seems to work every time and residual pain only lasts for the better part of a day.
Easy-peasy!
As much as your method worked for you…it dont work for me i cant even scrape it off witha plastic razor blade. Im starting to wonder if my filament is made from superglue.
The best thing I have found for removing thin lines and brims like that is the bambu lab scraper that comes preloaded on (my x1c at least). Pla doesn’t really last that long but still works great. Pla+ is noticably better. I’ll post the mw link so you can print it out of whatever you want, pla doesn’t remove petg or abs very well (if it does at all).
Clean the plate for sure.
