Things Josh is Designing/Printing (Formally Mega Swatches)

I’ve gotten a few questions to the extent of, will the cyberbrick kit include all the needed hardware. Like… hahahahahahaha… nooo. no no no. no. Haha. no.

Ahh, I’m sorry. I started updating the BOM, and it has really set in how much actual hardware is being used.

There use to be a bearing in every leg joint, but the Bambu folks I worked with directed me towards those shoulder screws. The original design used 108 623ZZ bearings for the legs.

Incidentally, I’ve got a huge stock of 623ZZ bearings now :stuck_out_tongue:

I accidentally dented my sister’s car with my H2D

It happened while you were engraving it?

My imagination goes to Josh creating a larger Strandbeest table and was walking his H2D around when he accidentally ran it into his sister’s car.

Well this is the only possible answer.

I have images of a much-larger version of his new CyberBrick Walking Table which he likely used to transport the printer.

We all know how much he enjoys utilising the world’s supply of filament in many of his models after all.

With the greater size, likely came greater speed, and a moment of inattention and bang goes the car.

 Nothing so drastic. I was trying to maneuver it into the back seat and ran into the side of the car. Left a small dent! The H2D is fine  I think.

Priorities.

Sounds like you should have used the walking table? :joy:

Saw my card shuffle in FauxHammer’s video!

Hehe, saw something from @Dr_Operator too.

Wow, that is awesome! I love seeing content creators use my models in their videos. They always make them look so nice.

I’ve been getting myself moved! Ahh yeah. Feels like I’ve been missing out, and falling behind! Haha. At least I’ve been distracted so the delays in the cyberbrick aren’t so much on my mind.

The new setup! I got my second H2D too! Starting to get some prints going.

This is what 300ish (give or take) rolls of boxed filament looks like. Moving all of this was a huge pain in the butt. I don’t even know how I’m gonna organize it. If any shelf manufactures wanna sponsor me though

Time to get the projects up and running again!

Free standing shelf on carpet

How deep is that shelving unit that you have x1c and h2d on? I’m wondering which one to get for myself

Ah! sorry I missed this question. I was too dazzled by the preceding gif, I guess. Ha.

It’s 24 inches deep, 48 wide. The X1C is roomy on it, but the H2Ds fit snuggly. Like the one up against the corner, I can’t really get behind it at this point. I would say comfortably snug though. There’s enough room around each unit that it doesn’t feel cramped. Just snug.

My dad is using a similar stand that is something like 18x36 inches, and it fits his X1Cs as snuggly as mine fits the H2Ds

English measurements instead of your stone age way of doing things.

Make America Measure Again!

Uhhh, excuse me… They’re called Freedom Units! And it’s how we measure stuff in the freedom loving world.

It’s like 610mm x 1220mm.

Despite popular desire, I have not fell into a pit of fire yet.

Ah, I need to get some of these projects unjammed. I have a couple major projects going on that have bogged me down a bit.

The H2D Is awwweeesome. I know it’s not perfect; things rarely are. As I’ve gotten settled into my new place though and have been printing more, I’ve just been enjoying it so much every day.

It’s big, it’s beautiful, in all the ways my ex isn’t.

There’s little things I enjoy. things I’m sure most people gloss over. Kind of like how the X1C was for me. - I noticed there’s a couple little cutouts on the back inside of the case where the PTFE tubs slip into. A little window to see the PTFE tube. It’s nice because you can visually see when the external PTFE tube is inserted all the way. I added a second AMS2 to my setup, and noticed that.

I also got these clear PTFE tubes that make it so much easier to see the filament go through the path.

Anyway, I came to show off my latest design. I’m a little late to this party, haha, but I made a vented LED riser. I didn’t really like the ones I found, didn’t find they had the style I like. So, of course, I made my own!

My X1C is purely PLA/PETG at this point, so I want an always vented riser with that LED light. I can’t believe it took me this long! It’s so nice.

I wanna do the final as a two-tone.

This turned out cool and I just wanted to show it off like any boy at heart that’s proud of what he had done.

I know I’ve been quiet, but the relentless beat of design never ends.

I’ve been getting a little burnt out with the larger projects, so have been approaching some smaller ones to try and calm my nerves.

Like this drum stick holder!

heck yeah! Haha. I really enjoy 3d printing, and being able to bring stuff like this to reality. I certainly could have purchased one, but I think the one I created is better
I’ll have to get that up on Makerworld at some point.
