This model was uploaded 11 hours ago by a user with 3 followers, and has gained 215 downloads and 212 likes as of writing this. So far there is only one comment on the model and zero prints (which makes sense as the print time is nearly 12 hours and the model was released 11 hours ago).
A couple things that throw me off about this:
The model has only renders and no printed photos (obviously illegal)
The like to download ratio is impressive to say the least
The model description is definitely AI generated
No boosts have been given despite over 200 downloads
The uploader has only 3 followers and currently has the #4, #5, and #7 trending models on the platform.
This has to be a botted account. There is almost no real user interaction with the uploads or the account in general as evidenced by the like to download ratio and the lack of followers. Either that or this guy just took MakerWorld by storm in a matter of hours
The person that commented is a bit questionable themselves too. I mean, for one, the disc shooter is absolutely not their model. The banana katana isn’t theirs either.
Reported and also added screenshots confirming that the images are just renderings
“Please, check this user, he is very suspicious. The user only has 3 followers and is at level 4. He uploaded the model only 12 hours ago and already has 215 downloads, as do the other 2 recently uploaded models. Furthermore, the models do not have any photos of the real print but only rendering images. Please check more thoroughly as it appears to be a scam to the system.” @MakerWorld
The multi-award-winning British actress has a CBE (the king or queen bestows these).
Given how many TV shows, films and stage work she is well known for in many countries, a less-well-known person for the thumbnail would have been better.
Makerworld rejected the report of him having another account named Linux (as i shown above with link). Same render background, same style, same bio writting. I give up, let @makerworld deal with them as they wish.
Perhaps removing an account will create a situation where the printers tied to it will no longer function properly. And the account user will promptly turn around and make posts everywhere, accusing BL of disabling their access to said printers without rhythm or reason, and warning others to the ‘danger of cloud connected devices’.
