What seems to be the problem with it.
The warning is just a safety, as some charger can‘t correctly switch to 5V as required and if they would simply set 9V or 12V or even higer, this could lead to overvoltage.
Why they are warning about more than 2A is little bit weird as the power sourge is defined by the consuming device. Here should be the limitation vice versa, warning about to weak adapter delivering less then xy Amps
So if they are selling it as compatible, then it is fine, as it can deliver the required 5V/2A
The mobile charger is apparently a QUALCOMM quick charge (QC) protocol clone and violates all 3 of their rules (mobile fast charger, 3A and 9/12V). The battery charger of course is unlikely to have a QC chip in it, but it’s not impossible. Is it relying on a 2A limit as a safety shutdown? I don’t know, but you are right, the current of course is determined by what the battery charger draws, the mobile charger doesn’t “force” 3A in.
When you are talking about batteries and chargers, it’s better to follow the instructions exactly instead of drawing conclusions on your own about what is safe or not. All I note is that they say “don’t use this charger” and then they go on and sell a charger that violates all of their rules in a charging kit.
That “they sold them together so they must be safe”, well, that is certainly one interpretation of the situation.
