Those that gift printers, warranty?

If gifting a printer how’s that work? Especially to a school, non family member…etc?

I thought I recalled reading somewhere that it basically starts with who ever opens the box, registers it and such but looking over the warranty statement it seems like if there is any issue or claim to be made it would have to be done by the original purchaser not the receiver.

It starts with the original delivery date.

They recipient should be able to make a warranty claim if you supply the original proof of purchase to them. I would suggest against mentioning anything about “gift”, just supply the proof of purchase when requested.
