Hello !
I tried to export a Fusion 360 file into step and Bambu Studio seems to not like the threads I did on my pieces (one nut and one screw) as they can be seen in the Opening models page (photo with grey parts threaded) but not anymore in the Bambu Studio process (photo with green parts)
Do I have to change settings somewhere to get this threads understood by Bambu Studio ?

EDIT : Forgot to give details if needed… I use Fusion 360, tried exporting in STEP and 3MF, then Bambu Studio to send to X1C.
Il looked a lot more about everything in the softwares, and finally got it right !! It seems like it’s only a parameter of the threads in Fusion, when creating the thread, the “modelize” option has to be checked, or the thread will apparently stay theoritical… If checked then when it’s exported to Bambu Studio, the thread can be seen on the preview green models, and then printed ! And bonus, first try it screws in very good !!

Threads often print without any additional support, provided they are designed to be printed.
Too big a thread that overhangs or sharp, thin protruding threads will fail to print or work as they are too delicate or simply loose detail.
You must also make sure the bolt (the internal form) has a small thread diameter than the nut (the external form) or they will not fit together. This difference depends on the use case.

Inner/Outer wall order will help. The other two options will extrude the outer wall (closest to the hole) first, with little attachment area for the overhanging thread.
Here is a simple trick to get threads that print well. The standard threads were designed to be cut into steel and brass and do not print or work well when 3D printed, mostly due to excessive overhang and weakness. The simplest fix, without creating one’s own thread profiles, is to scale the threads 2X, or more, in the Z direction while keeping the X and Y directions at 1X. Such a thread prints well and works well. Stretching the Z direction also has the effect of making the joint stronger as it reduces the lever effect caused by sharp threads.
I do not follow which is X, y and Z direction in threads. Please explain, and then my internal threads have to work with off the shelf item with male threads. Thank you.
